About The Soundscape Studio
The Soundscape Studio is an Australian-based production studio specialising in immersive soundscape development for the tourism, hospitality and wellness industries.
The studio combines environmental field recording with refined studio composition to create immersive audio experiences designed to enhance guest environments, wellness programmes and brand storytelling. Each project translates the atmosphere of a destination into sound, offering a sensory extension of place that supports relaxation, immersion and emotional connection.
As the global wellness industry continues to evolve, travellers increasingly seek experiences that engage multiple senses. Sound plays a significant role in shaping perception, influencing mood, memory and the overall quality of a stay. By integrating considered, destination-specific soundscapes into hospitality environments, brands can deepen guest engagement and create meaningful continuity beyond departure.
The Soundscape Studio was founded by composer and producer Ryan Sanders and creative director Lisa Michele Burns, based in Brisbane, Australia.
Ryan brings over fifteen years of experience as a musician and composer, producing ambient, acoustic and cinematic works. His approach combines technical precision with sensitivity to tone, atmosphere and spatial balance, shaping environmental recordings into cohesive and immersive compositions.
Lisa is a photographer and creative director with extensive experience working with luxury lodges, resorts, and hotels. Through her environmental photography and destination storytelling, she has produced assets and campaigns with travel brands, tourism boards and luxury hospitality groups. Her understanding of guest experience, brand positioning and place-based narrative informs the direction of each project.
Our Approach
Every project begins with attentive listening and a little exploration. Researching and learning what sounds exist, how they align with branding, destination and the vision of each project.
Environmental recordings are captured on location and shaped in studio, allowing the character of the surroundings to inform the direction of each composition. The result is audio that feels grounded, intentional and aligned with its setting.
Each production is developed with care, technical precision and respect for the environment from which it originates.
